I don't know how many of you are interested in homeschooling -- or actually doing homeschooling -- but you might be interested in Alpha Omega, which provides a complete homeschool experience...
They also do educational videos, which I think is probably a nice break from just filling out workbooks. If you want to check this out by following the link below, try using the promotional code "SAVEBIG" and Save 12% On All Alpha Omega Videos and other multimedia products!
I myself was homeschooled, and I think I turned out alright, but I really wish there had been video products like this! I think it's a great way to learn.
If anyone else out there has ideas or resources for homeschooling let me know. I hope to add to the above.

AOP is great!
We used the Switched-On Schoolhouse software with our son from 7th through 12th grade, and it is great. Like everything else, it has it's plusses and minuses, but overall, I'd rate it at the top of the pack. Not to mention the pricing. Even at full price, AOP is hands-down one of the most affordable curriculums out there. We could never have afforded some of the others on our limited budget.
SOS even offers an easy way to track progress and keep grade records. You have the ability to print out grade reports whenever you wish. You also have great control over how the program is set up, so you can customize it to your children's learning styles. You even define the grading scale. I cannot say enough good about this curriculum. If anyone is thinking about it, you can call AOP and they will answer any questions you might have. You can even get a demo CD of the SOS curriculum that gives you a feel for how it looks and works.
Hope this helps!
AOP is better than Riggs / Math-U-See Foundations
I have also tried AOP and liked its overall price and flexibility.
Before I had to spend a lot more than was necessary on Riggs home school program and some other stuff. I bought the whole Riggs program plus reference and test booklets for about $600, and that just lasted for one year for three childrens.
We've also used Math-U-See Foundations which comes with a nice work book, but I preferred AOP's math workbook.
I haven't even got to the expensive part, CDs and books. We have Magic School Bus CDs (which are pretty out there). I also got learning-Spanish CDs and Jump Start stuff. I buy books at Amazon and used bookstores and also look online for deals besides Amazon. So I've tried a lot of different things :)
One of the great things about AOP is that it gives you an all in one, which saves so much time. Plus, you can customize the curriculum without compromising the grading system.
Note on AOP Bible curriculum
We bought the full SOS curriculum, but did not use the Bible part. We developed our own curriculum after the first year of using the SOS. Doing your own gives you the ability to tailor it to your own personal beliefs and convictions.
