God has allowed me to open up a small restraurant in my hometown for the past 3 years. We have a drive-thru window, a walk-up window and we deliver. But with this we still was not able to overcome struggle of trying to make it work; so we have decided to close down the place. Me and the family really put a lot of effort into this but seem like it didn't make a difference. We attend a mid-size church here in the city but we couldn't get many of our church family members to support us.
This has put some funny thoughts in my head about them and i don't want to carry any ill will toward anyone.
Is this something that happens all over? Or is this just a people thing not to want to see someone else do good?

Re: Christian people who own businesses
I think it is a combination of both; it is something that happens with many individuals and families and that sometimes one's church and/or church members can be somewhat jealous or completely unsupportive of someone else's success of prospering. From my own words, I believe and know that even though we may think we have our lives planned out just right, God may have another plan. He (God) may have needed your family business to close, maybe momentarily or maybe permenantly, to direct you or your family to another area of His (God) interest. In other words he may wanted to use you and/or your family for another purpose. One of our main focuses as Christians is to bring glory to God in all of the things we do, and where we may not understand why things happen sometimes, God does. Although we may think our church will be supportive and back us in most of our ideas, I think you and I both have learned that to be not the case all the time. It usually hurts when someone you thought would be there isn't; I'm a witness. If your Christian church is not as supportive as you think they should be, you may want to personally question each individuals' views regarding your needs and assess your support views by aligning your thoughts, ideas and actions up with the Word of God. This will help clarify the type of church and people in the church you are associating yourself with. This may be beneficial in discerning God's voice regarding your fellowship with this church. When/If you do choose to question your church family, remember to ask God first for wisdom before and when questioning. As our lives have become busy, so have the lives of others. You must be willing to understand others' circumstances and symphathize, because you don't want to find yourself being selfish and out of God's will. I encourage you as your Christian friend to stay strong in the Lord and seek God for answers to those questions that may seem like you need more clarification on, and ask God to help guide you and your family in the path that He has planned for you all.
May God be with you always my friend.
Christian business
Sometimes we do thing that we didnt ask god about or didn,t get is ok on them! And sometimes when you set out to prosper the devil is always present to stop you.he doesn,t want you to walk in the will of god.If the saints wouldn,t support you then that is a shame and maybe they haven,t fully submitted themselves to God.the bible does say the men would be lovers of themselves, and puffed up with pride.and just because you go to church on sunday, and sit on the pews and say amen, doesn,t make you a child of God.Some times we have plans that are not God,s plans. But in any event what God has for you is for you and no devil or demon in hell will stop you .keepyour faith in God!when will he come through? every time!everytime you turn around he.ll make a way for you. I.ll take you before the throne of God when I go to make a petishionon your behalf.and may the Lord ever keep his blessings coming your way
