Thank God for providing the Word for free.

I was reading a page on this website about bible programs and they looked great but I could not believe how expensive they were. Why would you pay $700, or even $349, for a Bible program?

How about this for a Bible program: read the Bible and go to Church. Free! And if you want to search the bible, you can do that at this website. I guess some folks just have a lot of money to burn...  I guess to buy a physical copy of the Bible is not free, but it doesn't cost very much.

Value is relative

Hey Jason, Thanks for the compliment, but I really don't want to denigrate anyone's bible programs. I admit that $7000 does sound like a lot of money, but to some people it's worth it. Those programs offer certain things that this site does not, such as maps, a bible dictionary (well, that is coming soon though!), a concordance, and self-study programs. I agree though, the best possible thing is an actual physical copy of the Bible to read from. That's what I use and it works great. But I put this site up because it lets you search the text really easily, plus make comments on it, plus have meet likeminded people, etc., etc.. I was thinking of give people the option of making their comments private, so no one else sees them. Kind of a private journal, except you don't run out of space -- what do you think? Best, John
